Morinda citrifolia, also referred to as noni, is a plant used to treat a variety of diseases. Noni fruit helps treat bacterial infections because of its antifungal, antibacterial, analgesic, anti-in-flammatory, antioxidative, and immunomodulatory properties. The noni plant has been used in dentistry more often in recent years. It is effective as a mouth rinse for periodontal diseases, an irrigant in endodontics, and an agent that inhibits caries, and it is increasingly preferred over synthetic alternatives due to its reduced side effects and greater cost-effectiveness.
